History
-Castel Park overlooks the highway between Tel Aviv and Yerushalayim. As such, it has been an important strategic location throughout history. The Romans and Crusaders built fortresses on top.
-Castel Park is most famous for a battle there between Jews and Arabs in the 1948 War of Independence.
